Embroidered Collage

11"x15" acrylics, lace, and collage.  The dramatic sweeps of red and white paint are sandwiched between layers of lace, a drawn and collage depiction was the first layer of this collage and the final addition was actual hand-dyed lace adhered to the collage.  The contrast of the lace to the paint inspired the title. This piece was juried into the 64th Annual Open Juried Exhibition held by the Greater Norristown Art League.  May 2006
